Will a new barrel stop my seat lock and fuel cap working?

My bike has a transponder key. Does a new barrel mean new programming?
Sometimes. The barrel is mechanical and the chip is electronic, so on many models the chip carries over. Where the immobiliser has to learn the key again, we handle that at the same visit.
